Product Description

LVT stands for Luxury Vinyl Tile. It realistically mimics natural materials like stone, marble, travertine, or wood. At the same time, it offers numerous benefits including lower cost, improved scratch resistance, and waterproof performance. LVT includes a photographic print layer to capture the realistic looks and a wear layer for increased durability. It’s available in planks or tiles.

LVT flooring delivers the ideal combination of everything a commercial flooring product should be – elegantly designed, highly durable, and easy to maintain. Luxury vinyl tile means not having to sacrifice high-quality design for industrial utility.

To create the durability and authentic look of natural materials in LVT flooring,Darekaou use a highly technical and rigorous process is required. At Parterre, we manufacture all of our luxury vinyl tile using the hot press method. This heat infused hands-on construction involves a baking process that fuses each layer of vinyl together. This level of craftsmanship helps create the strongest, clearest and highest quality LVT flooring available.

Our LVT flooring is comprised of multiple layers to ensure maximum clarity and quality.

BACKING: Three layers of backing stacked and individually rotated to create a stronger locking system. Then it is fused together using the hot press method to create the base.

PRINT DESIGN LAYER: The authentic photograph film design creates both a strikingly vibrant and texturized design in each luxury vinyl plank and tile.

WEAR LAYER: To ensure maximum durability and long-lasting use, all LVT flooring has a wear layer on the surface to protect the design integrity of the flooring.

FAQs

FAQ section for LVT Flooring (Luxury Vinyl Tile):

1.What is LVT Flooring?

  • Answer: Luxury Vinyl Tile (LVT) is a type of resilient flooring designed to mimic the look of natural materials like wood, stone, or ceramic but with added durability, comfort, and moisture resistance. LVT flooring comes in planks or tiles and offers a realistic appearance along with high performance.

2. How is LVT Different from Laminate or SPC Flooring?

  • Answer: Unlike laminate, which is usually made of wood-based materials, LVT is entirely synthetic and thus more water-resistant. SPC flooring, a subcategory of LVT with a Stone Plastic Composite core, provides extra durability and rigidity compared to standard LVT. LVT is flexible and generally quieter underfoot than SPC.

3. Is LVT Flooring Waterproof?

  • Answer: Yes, most LVT flooring options are waterproof, making them suitable for areas with high moisture, such as bathrooms, kitchens, and basements.

4. What Are the Benefits of LVT Flooring?

  • Answer: LVT is durable, affordable, easy to maintain, and available in a wide variety of designs. It’s comfortable underfoot, resistant to scratches and dents, and can be installed over various subfloors.

5. Can LVT Be Installed Over Existing Floors?

  • Answer: Yes, LVT can often be installed over existing floors, provided they are clean, dry, and level. This can make installation easier and reduce prep time.

6. How Do I Clean and Maintain LVT Flooring?

  • Answer: LVT is low-maintenance and easy to clean. Regular sweeping or vacuuming, along with occasional mopping with a damp mop and mild cleaner, keeps it looking great. Avoid harsh chemicals and excessive water.

7. Is LVT Flooring Safe for Homes with Pets and Kids?

  • Answer: Yes, LVT is a pet- and kid-friendly option. It’s scratch-resistant, stain-resistant, and easy to clean, making it ideal for homes with active households.

8. What’s the Lifespan of LVT Flooring?

  • Answer: High-quality LVT flooring can last 10-20 years or more with proper care. Warranties vary but are typically between 10-25 years for residential use.

9. How Does LVT Flooring Affect Indoor Air Quality?

  • Answer: Many modern LVT options are manufactured to be low-VOC, meaning they emit fewer volatile organic compounds and contribute to better indoor air quality. Look for flooring certified by reputable organizations like FloorScore® for peace of mind.

10. Can LVT Flooring Be Installed in High-Traffic Areas?

  • Answer: Yes, LVT is suitable for high-traffic areas. Its durable wear layer is resistant to scuffs and scratches, making it a popular choice for both residential and commercial spaces.
